Media loves a good scare campaign, and parents are prone to worrying about whether the ‘new thing’ in society is hurting their kids. This piece on Psychology Today points out one recent study did a bad job of causing another scare storm around phones, social media, and young people.

And for all the scare factors, Cavanagh points out some very positive stats on this young generation:

In the introduction to the piece she notes that this generation has sharply lower rates of alcohol use, teen pregnancies, unprotected sexsmoking, and car accidents than previous generations.

Moderation is a virtue. Be an involved parent, take an interest. But don’t worry toooo much.
